A dishwasher for Snowa
Elegant was developed for Snowa's home appliance line — one of several home appliance projects I worked on during my time at Snowa (Entekhab Electronic) — starting from strategic product concept and visual storytelling.
Process
Concept to production
The concept was carried through CMF (colour, material, finish) decisions and into production-ready specification, in close collaboration with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
A full steel door and control panel were integrated into one cohesive exterior — the top panel hidden behind the door, every extra line omitted. The control panel sits slightly inclined on the upper section of the door for easy reach, with every programme and feature organised in a single iconic line for ease of use. The detergent dispenser is seamlessly built into the door for an even interior surface, and the spray arms use a movable, donut-like head for a more efficient, sustainable wash cycle.
Internally, every working part is hidden for a minimalist read, bar the rectangular metal filter left visible at the centre. LED lights on both sides of the tub give a gleaming finish once the cycle ends, and the dish racks — including a foldaway cutlery basket — were laid out to fit a range of utensil configurations.
Outcome
Red Dot Award: Design Concept
Elegant won a Red Dot Award in the Design Concept category, Domestic Aid and Home Appliances, 2021 — recognised as "Ready to Launch."
